Birthday: June 6th
Village Affiliation: Kirigakure
Rank: Jounin

Canon History: Wikia

Canon Abilities/Powers:
Enhanced Speed
Enhanced Physical Strength
Enhanced Reflexes
Enhanced Agility
Enhanced Stamina

Genius Level Intellect
Master Hand to Hand Combatant
Choice of Weapon: Playing Cards Hisoka wields a deck of poker cards as razor-sharp blades, which he can use to cut up his foes with tremendous speed, power and accuracy, or throw. In both cases, he imbues them with his Nen to make them even more deadly. In his hands they are so lethal that he has never been depicted using them against opponents he did not wish to kill.

Nen: Nen is the awakened natural aura that can be enhanced with training and is split into 6 different categories with their own strengths and weaknesses. Each section is connected to another in a Hexagon type pattern, allowing a warrior to learn techniques from those closest to them easier, and having a more difficult time learning techniques too far from their own category. Hisoka falls into the Transmutation Category.

Ten: The application of Aura to keep it flowing around one’s body, rather than leaking out and permanently escaping. A basic technique.

Gyo: Aura applied in focus to the eyes, allowing the user to see techniques previously invisible to the naked eye. One can also see strings of Aura extended from parts of other’s bodies.

Zetsu: The suppressing of one’s aura to the point they are undetectable by others.

Hatsu: is the release or transmission of one's aura so it can be projected to carry out a certain function. In essence, Hatsu is one's personal expression of Nen that creates a special and unique paranormal ability (colloquially called a Nen Ability).

Ren: Applying large amounts of Aura without letting it escape. Making it bigger, essentially.

Ko: is an enhanced version of Gyo in which all of an individual's aura is concentrated into one particular body part. Zetsu is used to completely stop the flow of Nen in all other parts of the body. This makes that one body part exceptionally powerful, but leaves the rest of the body completely unprotected. This is used by some Nen-users as an offensive technique (a Ko-punch would carry all 100% of your aura with it), but it is a risky move — leaving the rest of one's body unprotected in a fight against another Nen-user is generally not a good idea. Ko results in one's aura creating a high-pitched dissonance, somewhat akin to the sound of metal being ground.

Ryu:is the term for real-time use of Gyo (the adjustment of aura concentration in various body parts) by a Nen-user in battle. For example, the use of Gyo to increase the amount of Nen in a fist as one strikes with it, to increase damage done; or to increase the amount of Nen in an arm as it is used to block a blow, for extra defense.

Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise are two abilities individual to Hisoka alone.

Nen Transmuter Specialization: Bungee Gum Hisoka can alter his aura's consistency into an incredibly sticky substance somewhat akin to bubble gum, albeit much stronger. It can be used to pull opponents within punching range for a flurry of rebound pummels. Bungee Gum can both stretch and contract, depending on what Hisoka desires. It can be attached either by pointing at his target or through direct physical contact. Additionally, Bungee Gum can also be used to cover a greater area by molding it into a sheet rather than a string. It is so reliable and durable that it can act as a shield against attacks or as a means to return them to their original caster. Bungee Gum cannot stretch more than ten meters. The shape and color can be changed at Hisoka’s leisure.

Nen Transmuter Specialization: Texture Surprise Hisoka can apply his aura to any thin surface (such as paper or cloth) and manifests his thoughts onto it to change its appearance. He mainly use this ability for deception, for example by using it on a cloth and wrapping it around a wounded body part to trick the opponent into believing that he's undamaged, confusing him. The same thing can be applied outside combat , such as avoiding being permanently tattooed or forging paperwork.

Appearance: Hisoka stands 6’1” tall, and weighs in at 200.2 LBS. Hisoka is well built, especially in the upper body and arms, with a thin waist and long legs. He has pale skin and bright, almost neon red hair, and gelled back behind his head into an almost solid structure. His hair comes down when wet, just a little below his ears, and is also dyed this bright red color. Depending on how he feels, he might dye it a different color. His face is angled, and sharp, giving him an almost evil appearance.

His attire is reminiscent of a Joker with a Magician motif, often sporting suits on his outfits (Club, Ace, Heart, and Spades). He is also fond of wearing “women’s” shoes, which are high heels. His face is often painted, with a star on his right cheek, and a teardrop on his left cheek, both under his eyes, usually different colors. In a situation where he has gotten soaked in water, this paint washes off, and must be re-applied later.

Personality : Hisoka is a sociopath. Hisoka is, at his core, selfish, sadomasochistic, and self-serving, but ultimately amoral, rather than evil. Hisoka enjoys killing and the thrill of the hunt, and has been known to leave opponents alive if he has room to believe they could be more powerful later, thus making for a more satisfying kill. His loyalties are to himself only, though he can believably fake loyalty to another cause if he feels it’s going to bring him entertainment. He does not truly care about people unless there is the possibility of fighting them involved, and switches “loyalties” when he finds the situation and/or people are no longer entertaining or serve his purpose.

Hisoka still knows how to make beneficial partnerships when they will serve his personal goals, giving away and withholding information at his leisure as long as the end goal suits him.

He receives sexual gratification from finding a worthy opponent and witnessing their strength, intelligence, and growth. The stronger and smarter the opponent is, or the more they have grown since their last encounter, the stronger the reaction. This also applies while he is fighting said opponent(s.)

Hisoka can show what is often misread as protective tendencies towards those he has selected as his future targets, especially more so if they are young.

Hisoka knows all of the basic shinobi techniques taught in Academy, along with a range of Water based Jutsu, such as the Water Clone. Hisoka’s primary chakra nature is Earth, secondary nature is Water; Yin affiliation. He is proficient in most throw able shinobi weapons, along with some swords. He still retains his enhanced speed, strength, and reflexes.

Playing Cards: Hisoka’s weapon of choice, the same from canon. Regular playing cards enhanced now with a coating of chakra to make them sharp enough as blades.

Sensing: Hisoka is a natural sensor, though can be overwhelmed by powerful enough opponents.

Chakra Molding: Ability to suppress his chakra to avoid being detected, and ability to extend and pressurize his chakra to intimidate a foe, and the ability to send more or less chakra to specific body parts to strengthen them from enemy blows and attacks. Should an attack or weapon have more power than he is currently focusing at the point of impact, it will strike through.

The two final abilities listed below are individual to Hisoka himself, adapted from his canon to fit Sunshine.

Bungee Gum: is almost entirely the same except applied through hand seals as a Jutsu Technique instead of an innate ability. The elastic is now made of chakra and can be cut off by another person’s chakra if it overpowers how much is in the thread. The stickiness of the chakra eventually wears off should it be separated from Hisoka. It acts much like a puppeteer’s chakra threads, only with elasticity and the ability to stick. Those with Dojutsu abilities will be able to see the threads and the chakra being molded.

Texture Surprise: This is now a genjutsu technique, allowing Hisoka to change the appearance and texture of a flat surface of his choice. It can be dispelled by skilled Genjutsu specialists/users, or otherwise takes a long time to fade the farther the re-textured surface is from his person.

Sunshine History:
An orphan at a young age, much like many other shinobi due to the civil war, he was raised by a single man who first taught him his card tricks after locating him and taking an interest in him. He was entered in the Academy at age 5 and graduated at 7, through the traditional graduation method.

Post graduation into a squad of genin, Hisoka took an interest in the networks of information that keep shinobi connected, analyzing not only his opponents, but his teammates, his teachers, and his other elders. This led into developing his skill in information gathering, and what would prove beneficial to him in his goal of finding strong enemies to fight.

The cards tricks he’d learned proved to be an effective weapon, and his lack of attachments and ability to lie led him to stay with the team of Genin until he killed them all during an intel mission , believing them to no longer be useful towards his goal of power, as he was far stronger. The mission was still a success, earning him a Chuunin rank at age 10. It became clear soon after this that he preferred to do most missions on his own, partaking in the continued Third Shinobi war. He’d moved past the attachment of his guardian, who died only a year later.

The war’s end at his twelfth year saw him with a Jounin promotion with a specialty in assassination and information gathering, and as the years of peace linger Hisoka grows bored, relishing the current tension building up for a fourth war at age 29.

Having been an innate sensor since childhood, Hisoka is often prone to headaches or bouts of being overwhelmed by particularly strong chakra that it inflicts in him a state in which he must find someone to kill.

Prose sample: Hisoka could be incredibly patient when something caught his interest. While he usually killed his enemies quickly without much care, a few lucky ones would simply be labeled as his prey, and Hisoka turned his full attention on them.

It was troublesome, to say the least. He would arrive from missions late, or come back with less information than he’d been requested, but oh, he would look so satisfied, lip upturned in a way that gave the mission officers the creeps.

Steps that cared not for how much sound they made became silent, and some say that Hisoka is even able to still his own heartbeat, amber eyes locked on his prey, never wavering.

It’s two Iwagakure shinobi today, traveling a little cautiously due to all the tension, trying to stay out of it and away from it. Their chakra is buzzing, though, and little do they know that their lives are going to come to an end, though whether shortly or in some time is entirely dependent on how much potential Hisoka deciphers they have.

Their weapons are matching, their steps in sync, and Hisoka just knows that they are meant to fight as a team, and if they are trained as such, he’s briefly curious if they’ll put up more of a fight than groups of uncoordinated shinobi lacking teamwork who usually try to overpower him with numbers.

He’s rather glad he doesn’t have any missions on his plate, currently, because Hisoka tends to wander when he’s hunting prey, and he ends up stalking these shinobi for five weeks on end, watching them sleep, eat, talk, and even fight a number of other enemies that came inbetween them and their path.

Of course, the last thing they expected when they turned around to head back to Iwagakure was to be faced with a supposedly rouge Kirigakure nin. And being attacked, their questions gone ignored.

They last all of two minutes, and Hisoka’s rather downtrodden all they managed was a nick on his upper arm.

Time to move on.

Dearest Machi ♥

I’ve been unable to attain the information you’d requested. The targets have…more potential than expected. I’m sure they’ll have more information if I wait it out. You’ll get it when I’m through, I assure you. I’m still following them…~
